Shoal Tang Acanthurus Tang
This fellow came to me as sort
of a fluke, he was purchased by a local reefer and he did
not mix well with the other tank inhabitants so he was
sort of put up for adoption, I had always wanted one
of these beautiful fish but just could not justify the
price tag. Due to the circumstances I was given a great
deal and I simply could not pass it up. In my tank he is
great chums with my Yellow Tang and my Tomato Clown, He is
a very busy fish, even in the dark he is cruising the tank
and picking at the rock and darting in and out of rock
passages all the time
Unfortunately
this Shoal is no longer with me, he ate his last feeding
well and was swimming as normal and 30 minutes later he
was dead floating in the tank.
Another of those great tank mysteries I will never
understand
Tomato Clown Amphiprion
frenatus
This was my first fish and was given
to me as a Xmas gift the first year I started my first
tank. He is tough and proved that by surviving everything
I did wrong in my tank in the first year it was running.
He lives in a clump of
Anthelia and
is VERY protective of his coral. He actually get along
very well with his two tank mates and never bothers anyone
except me when I am cleaning or trimming around his home
Yellow Tang
Zebrasoma
flavesenes
This guy is one of the hardest
working fish I have ever seen he constantly munches on
anything that would dare to grow on his live rock. He
still tries to intimidate the Sohal Tang every once in a
while but the Sohal just ignores him and swims to another
area of the tank
He is very entertaining to watch as he is always busy and
also the first one to the top of the tank when I
feed
