These  magnificent birds are truly a sight to see
and to live in their presence for a week and watch them teach their young was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget
The pictures are not to be copied or used in any way
 without my written permission

This is one of the members of the local eagle pair who lived in the lake area we were camping g near, We say these birds on a daily basis as they attempted to teach their offspring the methods of survival.

This is a picture of the Eagles nest, it is the large object in the center of the photo. The nest was 5 to 6 feet across and 2 to 3 feet deep and we read a  posting at the trading post  stating the nests can weigh up to 2000 pounds.

This is a yearling Eaglet that crashed into the water
as his parent tried to teach it to catch fish.
I spent about 30 minutes working my way up to this site
crawling on my stomach to get this shot.
He was not a happy bird as he sat trying to dry his feathers  in the wind

This bird was about to launch into a dive to catch a fish
